At Dance-Beat we are involved in a variety of competitions and shows. The competitions allow the students to participate in a competitive but fun activity within the school. It is also a chance for them to dress in competition costume and is suitable for the new dancer up to the most experienced dancer.

The students take pride in their work and the competitions give them the opportunity to celebrate their achievements.

There are ‘area medallist’ competitions and ‘Grand Finals’ day events where Dance-Beat pupils gain the highest level and best quality of training there is to offer.

Many pupils have since progressed and are now successful in professional dance careers.

Pupils compete with great success in the ISTD Medallist Competitions and also with the ADFP.

Competition Dates:

January 29th 2012 – ISTD Medallist Competition - Southend
March 4th 2012 – Imperial Championships
March 25th 2012 – ISTD Medallist Competition – Hemel Hempstead
June 24th 2012 - ISTD Medallist Competition – Cambridge

Shows

We run successful and very professional shows once every two years and all our students are encouraged to participate and are trained in many aspects of dance.

The shows are held at very prestigious venues such as The Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage. The shows also give a great opportunity for families and friends to come and enjoy what the students have learned throughout their time at Dance-Beat.
