Whenever I am choreographing a new routine or thinking of new ways to make repetitious routines more fun I always think about the range of abilities the children have and work out the best way to make them shine or look good in a medal test, show or a competition.

I would love to walk into a studio full of ‘stars’, but this is reality and if it does happen then it is simply a by-product of our work. The joy of teaching for me is to see my pupils improve and I believe that success comes only 10% from talent -

90% is commitment, dedication and respect and I am proof of this”.

By teaching and nurturing the children I am giving them a doorway into a love of dance and I strive to continue inspiring them for a very long time.

I have known Amanda for 16 years and through this time I have been a pupil of Dance-Beat and have also trained to become a teacher within the school.

My dancing career started at the age of 5. Unfortunately it ended at the age of 5 as I didn’t even achieve my first baby ballet exam. After a gap of 8 years I discovered Dance-Beat run by Amanda Tapp and my dancing career began again!
